I am 8 minutes in. I am liking the content and very interested. The background music is nearly at the same volume or louder than the narration at times and it is too strongly emotional to be background music in my opinion. I am going to keep watching later. But please consider the audio experience. If the message in the narration is your primary goal - then tone down the background music and keep the music less emotionally charged. If you want to convey emotion primarily - then skip the narration and focus on the music. I'm here for the content of the narration - not the emotionality - so would prefer the music quieter and less intense.

Appreciate the constructive critique. However, I intentionally produced this to be like to a "dark opera" complete with a very carefully chosen musical score and spoken word overtone. It is a surgical procedure to remove a cancer of "madness" as I see it, so it is not a pleasant production musically accepting the ending which ties all of the "noise" together. Madness is just that. I think that is conveyed rather to my liking alongside being a huge fan of post metal/rock genre.

Out of the thousands that have viewed it, a few have criticized the music being too loud. I can respect that. I may release another version in time minus the music, but I am already producing content beyond this and have since moved ahead.

Thank you.

I appreciate the musical choices and understand the tone now that you share more. Perhaps (not in this production - but for future offerings) parsing out the narrative from the musical sections - so each can be received fully - might be another option. I appreciate all the work that must go into such a work. It is truly excellent. I would love to share this with my homeschooled youth (10 and 13) - and others in my community. So my criticism is partially towards it being easily receivable by a wider audience than myself. I am also a post-punk 70s born being and can resonate with the tone. But others might experience it is sensory overload making the narrative message challenging to receive. Best wishes. I look forward to learning more from your scholarship and creativity. Sending you support and appreciation!!! Blessings. Dove

Dove, thank you. Here is a production I did from 2014 which suitably meets what you might term--the right balance between music and words. I've always been a musician at heart, so I lean toward musical backdrops. For this video on sacred geometry featuring the work of the great Frank Chester, the right balance was struck. Music at the front and rear. This may be a good one to share.
